319 Victoria St. N. Kitchener is now operating as a manufacturing brewery, and retail sales location. The retail sales location offers beer for purchase in several formats including, growlers, cans, bottles, kegs and by the glass.
There will be a small kitchen serving charcuterie, paninis, pretzels, desserts and other simple bierhalle foods.
Robin Molloy, Certified Brewmaster, is “ecstatic that we are finally open. It’s been a long and challenging road and we are so thankful to all who have supported us. Each time we were asked if we were open yet it was like a fire was lit under us. It made us work harder knowing the public was eager for our opening.”
Descendants commissioned local designer Zak Hannah to create a mural down one entire wall of the brewery. They were also given a piano made by the Berlin Piano Co. in Kitchener in 1908. “We are getting the piano refurbished by Arthaus150, we are excited to have music fill our bierhalle” says Lee Brooks, Co-owner with her husband Robin. “We hope everyone enjoys the atmosphere we are creating at the brewery. We’ve worked really hard to craft a place that is fun and inviting; a place that we would want to hang out in ourselves. We are eager to see people’s reactions to what we’ve accomplished so far and we’re not done yet.”
Descendants Beer & Beverage Co. will be open from 11:00am to 9:00pm Monday-Wednesday, 11:00am-11:00pm Thursday-Saturday and 11:00am-6:00pm on Sunday.
